How it all started...
Hilltop has a long and faithful heritage in our community. Started in the home of E.R. and Ruby Lewis in 1977, Hilltop was planted to see more people come to faith in Jesus.
Rev. Mary Tyson was the founding pastor. She served from 1977 till 1982. In that time, land was donated to Hilltop by the Vaughn family and the first building was constructed on the current church property.

Expanding the vision...
Rev. R.E. Maxwell led the church from 1982 until 1990. During that time Hilltop's facility doubled in size.
From 1990 till 1998, Rev. Rudy Alderete pastored and continued with the vision of building up the church and preparing for more growth.
Rev. Billie Fitch holds the record as longest tenured pastor at Hilltop having served from August 1998 until March 2020 - over 21 years. Under his leadership, the present facility was built in 2002 expanding the seating capacity to 280.

Where we are headed...
In March 2020, Ken Harris was introduced as the new pastor, bringing with him a vision for community outreach and revival in the area.
Our goal is to build on the strong family atmosphere at Hilltop. By investing in the next generation, we can be sure the foundation of our church remains strong.
